Ready for My First Drive?

Check each item as you prepare. This is a planning checklist, not a driving assessment.

I have a valid Nebraska learner’s permit and will bring it. I have started my course and confirmed my first drive with Dennis or my instructor. I have practiced with a legally qualified supervising driver. Dennis recommends about five hours before the first lesson; I will ask him if I need help preparing. I know my lesson time and confirmed pickup or meeting location. I have comfortable footwear that stays securely on my feet and any glasses or contacts needed for driving. I will arrive rested, put my phone away, and tell my instructor about any concerns.
